CCCI x DOST 7 OFFER ISO 22000: FSMS TRAINING AND FOOD PACKAGING AND LABELING TRAINING

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 7-Cebu Provincial S&T Office, is inviting interested participants to join a 2-day training on ISO 22000: Food Safety Management System (FSMS) on June 13-14, 2023 and Food Packaging and Labeling Training on June 15-16, 2023 to be held at the DOST Regional Office Training Center, Lahug S&T Complex, Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City.

Safeguarding consumers and businesses from the risks of foodborne illnesses is a critical aspect of food management. With this in mind, the CCCI, in collaboration with DOST, aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to establish a proactive FSMS. This system, developed and implemented by food establishment operators, plays a vital role in reducing the risk of foodborne illnesses and ensuring the production of safe food products. By adhering to a controlled process, companies can uphold quality standards and guarantee the safety of the food they provide.

During the intensive 2-day ISO 22000: FSMS training, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the principles and elements involved in implementing a robust Food Safety Management System, including other recognized schemes endorsed by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Interested participants must have a background on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) to be able to enroll in this program.

In addition, the Food Packaging and Labeling Training will provide participants with valuable insights into the legal and market-related requirements for food labeling, as well as labeling regulations. Moreover, attendees will explore the latest advancements in packaging technologies and their impact on the shelf-life and nutritional value of food products.
