CCCI, DOST Joint Industrial Calibration Training Ignites Excellence in Local Industries



Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), recently hosted a transformative 3-day Industrial Calibration training from October 18 to 20, 2023 at the DOST Office in Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City.


This intensive workshop gathered 21 participants from nine different companies, spanning various professional roles such as project coordinators, calibration technicians, management system specialists, electrical and instrumentation engineers, and Quality Assurance personnel.


The training focused on equipping participants with new skills and practical problem-solving experience, emphasizing individual and group exercises. It catered to professionals in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, healthcare, and related sectors, offering in-depth insights into weight, temperature, pressure measurement, and equipment used in industrial settings to ensure quality and precision.


Engr. Robert Edra, laboratory head and quality manager of the Department of Science and Technology VII, led the training, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience with the participants.


The Industrial Calibration Training is an annual event organized by CCCI, reinforcing their commitment to continuous learning and professional development. It serves as a testament to CCCI's dedication to shaping a future where expertise and excellence drive industrial growth and prosperity in Cebu.
