PMAP-Cebu partners with CONPC for media support to RC 23

CEBU CITY—The People Management Association of the Philippines Cebu, Inc. (PMAP) and the Cebu Online News Press Corps (CONPC) inked a memorandum of agreement (MOA) today, March 31 as partners to promote PMAP’s various events and activities relative to its regional conference (RC23) on July 6-7 which will be held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino. 25 economic riders from BARUG Cebu City Advocates Basic Sectors participated in the Training Induction Program (TIP) of the Motorcycle Small Engine NC II training last March 14 (Tuesday) at the College of Technological Sciences (CTS), Cebu City. The program is one of the series of training programs of the Cebu Investment Development Concierge Center (CIDCC) Project organized by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) in partnership with the Cebu City Government through the College of Technological Sciences (CTS) with Program Instructor, Dean Cendryl F. Molina and CTS Tech/Voc Director Danilo B. Colipano. Aimed at enabling participants to gain valuable experience and expertise in small engine repair and maintenance thereby quipping them with the necessary skills to employability and entrepreneurial potentials, the Motorcycle Small Engine NC II Training is expected to run from March 14 to May 15. 26 learners who completed the Pilot Implementation of the Dual Education and Training (DET) Program for the Seafood Processing sector were formally presented during a recognition ceremony on March 17 (Friday) at the City Sports Club, Cebu City. Among the 23, seven (7) are commended for being employed from their exemplary and outstanding performance while conducting the in-company training. The institutionalization of the Dual Education Training (DET) Program in the fishery sector does not only contribute to attaining the 2 nd key result area of the FISH VISAYAS project but also addresses the industry job-skills mismatch thereby contributing to improving the skills for workforce development to create economic prosperity for individuals, businesses, and communities. The annual Angels’ Walk of persons with autism (PWAs), their stakeholders, and advocates, returns to Cebu on April 2, 2023 (Sunday), beginning at 10:00 A.M. (assembly of participants begin at 9:15 A.M.) at the SM Seaside, Mountain Wing, Main Lobby, South Road Properties, Cebu City, after a two-year hiatus.   The Angels’ Walk, which began in Manila in 2007, is one of the showcases in the advocacy of the Autism Society Philippines (ASP) for acceptance, accommodation and appreciation of Filipinos with autism. More than 2,000 runners, adults and kids, joined the Titans Run 2023: Glow in the Dark held at Mandani Bay last Sunday, March 12, 2023. Organized by the PAREF Springdale School Inc. in cooperation with the Student Body Organization and the 3rd Grade Parents, the fun run gave the opportunity for bonding to the families who came as early as 4 p.m. although the start of the first race, the 10K, was scheduled the start at 6:30 p.m. The parents and grandparents were mostly seated in front of the stage prepared by International Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (IPI) while the children were having fun running around the open area. Various booths of sponsors were selling snacks items, rice meals and drinks while another sponsor gave out free doughnuts. After a few entertainment numbers such as songs by bands and dance numbers of students, Zumba instructors led the warm-up exercises for the runners, preparing them for the fun run.
